Nutty Brown Rice:
Quick and Easy Side Dish

Nutty Brown Rice will complement any meal as a tasteful side dish. For variety, if you desire, add some grated carrots, zucchini, celery or vegetable of your choice.

Recipe Book

(corn, dairy,dye, egg, gluten, peanut, soy free)

  • 1 1/2 cups cooked brown rice
  • 1 tsp. olive oil
  • 1/4 cup finely diced onion
  • 1/4 cup chopped pecans(omit for tree nut allergy or change to sunflower seeds)
  • 1 tsp dill weed
  • 1/2 tsp. black pepper
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, grated( omit for dairy free or change to dairy free cheese)

Cook rice according to package directions to get 4 servings. In a small non-stick skillet, heat oil, add onion, and pecans. Saute till lightly browned. Add to rice. Stir in dill, pecans, pepper and cheese. Serve. Makes 4 servings.
