Homemade Granola:
Guilt Free
Healthy Snacks

Homemade granola is a favorite of the trail mix lover's crowd, but now you regret that you must give it up? Here's a great recipe for a homemade version that is some safe healthy snacks, and simple to prepare for most allergies.

Recipe Book

(corn, dairy, dye, egg, gluten(confirm oats), soy free)

  • 1 1/3 cups raw rolled oats(confirm no cross contamination with other wheat products)
  • 2/3 cup chopped nuts (or leave out if allergic)
  • 1/3 cup sunflower seeds
  • 1/3 cup shredded coconut
  • 1/4 cup 100% pure maple sugar
  • 1/4 heaping tsp. kosher salt (or sea salt)
  • 2/3 cup raisins

In a large heavy skillet, heat the oats and nuts over medium-low heat until they roast. Add sunflower seeds and coconut and continue heating, stirring constantly for 10 minutes. Sprinkle in the maple sugar and salt and stir 4-5 minutes. Remove from heat. Add raisins and stir. Allow to cool. Store in an airtight container.
