Fried Rice:
A Mediterranean Tradition

Rice has long been one of the most popular dishes because of its ease of cooking and yet it still has excellent flavor if combined with the right ingredients. Here is a combination that the smell alone makes it hard to wait till it is finished.

Recipe Book

(corn, dairy, gluten, peanut,soy, tree nut free)

  • Olive oil
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 T. minced garlic
  • 1 tsp. ginger
  • 3 chopped green onions
  • 4 strips cooked bacon
  • 8 cups cooked rice
  • 1 tsp sesame oil

Using a deep frying pan, add 2 T. olive oil to skillet and warm. Add the eggs and scramble until soft set. Set aside.
Add 2 more Tablespoons of olive oil to skillet. Stir fry the garlic and onions. Add the bacon and rice and stir until all is mixed. Heat until warm. Add sesame oil and eggs. Stir. Serve warm.
