Allergy Dairy Treatment:
Eliminating Milk But Still
Finding Healthy Snacks

Are you looking for some healthy snacks which go along with an allergy dairy treatment? There is no magic pill or treatment for any of the common food allergies to date. The only principles for helping an allergy dairy treatment is the total elimination of all dairy products from the diet.

Taking Your Child To A Doctor

On your first trip to a doctor there is several questions that are sure to come up during the conversation. If you are prepared for these questions ahead of time, much time can be saved in the doctor's office. Check with the following and as a family, see if you can work out the details below:

  1. Does the body seem to exhibit extreme symptoms after eating certain types of dairy products? What symptoms are noticeable/ which foods were ingested?

  2. Does the person in question have any strong dislikes? This is especially important for babies- babies seem to instinctively know there is a problem after only one or two bites of the offending food. If they are adamant about not eating something- do not force it.
  3. Maintain a log detailing foods eaten, amounts consumed, location (were you outdoors hiking or at the kitchen table etc.),were there any noticeable symptoms and what type were they, location of symptoms, how long did the symptoms last, and does anyone else in your family have allergies?

Any and all small details are important to setting up an effective treatment plan. Therefore, the doctor will ask a lot of questions during the initial consultation.

What Does Treatment Consist Of

  1. Any treatment plan for an allergy is a long-term affair. Therefore pick a doctor you (and the child, if applicable) are comfortable with. It is important though that any allergy dairy treatment be started as early in life as possible. This will help prevent future complications arising in later years before the condition can cause declining health.

  2. The first and most active participation in your treatment includes the avoidance of all dairy products. Sounds simple- doesn't it? Just don't drink milk, and I guess I have to give up ice cream. But the reality is giving up all milk and milk proteins goes far beyond avoiding milk. You must learn to recognize other names which are a common source of milk or milk proteins.

  3. No matter how hard you try, the day will come when there will be a milk protein in something you ate, touched or for some people just the smell can cause an allergic reaction. Many good reliable medications are available to help reduce or help prevent the allergic response in your allergy dairy treatment plan. By working closely with your doctor, the best combination of medications can be assembled for your health and safety.

Many people do not understand the importance of consulting with a doctor when they first notice symptoms which tend to occur after eating certain foods. They just figure if I don't eat as much, I won't get those troublesome symptoms. What you are forgetting though is just because a few symptoms have managed to be downgraded on the outside - what is still happening on the inside to your other major organs?
