Allergy Asthma Milk and Gluten:
Diet Management By
Finding Healthy Snacks

The discussion continues non-stop about allergy asthma milk and gluten. To date, doctors disagree on the exact cause of asthma in children, but some common ground does exist in that food allergies and asthma do seem to have some common links. The two most common are allergy asthma milk and gluten-based foods. Generally, after testing, when one or both of these are removed from the child's diet and changed to more healthy snacks, improvements have been shown to occur within days.

What Is Asthma

Asthma can be a serious life-threatening condition due to excessive inflammation of the bronchial tubes and lungs. Symptoms will range from mild to severe coughing, wheezing, gasping for breath and even unconsciousness.

In infancy, the combination of allergy asthma milk and gluten characteristically will be shown as a skin related disease or a disorder of the respiratory system. But as the child ages, food related allergies tend to decline and the allergy trigger seems to concentrate more on airborne particles from grass, pollen ,dust and dirt etc.

Into the middle or adolescence years the trend now has a tendency to improve in both boys and girls. It is not unusual that the pre-teen may show little to no symptoms during this time. No definitive answers have been discovered yet to explain this.

Pre-Determined Factors Which Can Lead To Asthma

Any of the following do actually make your child more likely to be diagnosed with asthma:

  • Have existing food allergies

  • Gender- Boys have a greater risk than girls

  • Family history of either allergy or asthma

  • Any child prone to the skin condition eczema

  • Premature birth

  • Medical condition known as Airway Hyper-reactivity

Symptoms Of Allergy Asthma Milk and Gluten

Symptoms can vary from child to child, mainly because of the severity of the systems. But expect to see the following in varying degrees:

  • Coughing

  • Chest Tightness

  • Difficulty of breathing/ shortness of breath

  • Chronic viral or bacterial infection

Current Effective Treatment Methods

Because of the difference in symptoms, and the severity of the symptoms. most asthmatics do not all follow one specific course of treatment. But since all asthmatics do have the underlying inflammation of the bronchial passageway and the lungs, there is a five course treatment plan most doctors will try to start each new patient with.

  • If the condition is considered a food allergy, access which food is causing the problems and avoid that trigger. Do not alter the diet to start your own program without first consulting your primary care giver

  • decrease allergens in the air which tend to strenghthen ongoing symptoms because of inflammation of lungs and bronchial tubes.

  • Start a nutritional supplement program to help restore the immune system to better health and balance.

  • detoxify the system by ridding it of excess metals, minerals, chemicals and viruses.

  • medications, generally prescription, to aid in the control of symptoms while steps one though four have time to aid in the healing process

Living A Better Future

Once the allergy asthma milk and gluten is under control, many doctors recommend their patients get at least two hours a day of rigorous exercise. Let your child go outside and play, have fun just being a kid. Let them sign up for a monitored sports program. The extra strength and resistance training they receive only helps to build stronger lungs and a healthier immune system.

Yes, your child is still going to get the colds, the flu, bronchitis or pneumonia, but the difference is they will heal in the same way as any other kid does. This is the ultimate final goal for any treatment plan for the asthmatic child.
